I am always scouring the internet for ways to tweek what I am doing in my classroom. I am a very visual person. Pinterest has changed the way I use the net. I love SEEING the ideas! I thought I would take a picture of the ways I do things in my room to share with you today.
Creating flexible reading groups is nothing new. Most teachers create flexible groups in order to reach all the students in their room.
Here is a picture of how I display this in my room. The stars with the numbers represent students. They are simply attached with a bit of sticky tack. I can easily move students from group to group. I have a quick visual of where students are suppose to be as well as students know exactly what they are supposed to be doing. The center piece is also interchangable. I plan on “prettying up” soon, but for now its functional 🙂
I would love to see how you display your reading groups! Like I said I am always looking for ways to improve and tweek my teaching!
