During our word work session today we had a visit from Porcinette Pâte à Modeler. She loves eating play-doh, but can only eat words made of play-doh that have mistakes.
The students love this game! I ask the student to spell a word which I have noted as a common error in their writing in play-doh. Common ones today were : et (and) and est (is) , un and une, petit and petite, grand and grande… When everyone is done, Porcinette walks around tummy grumbling “eating” the mistakes. – I simply put the play-doh back in the container.-
No one has ever run out of play-doh and the kids laugh when I make hungry piggy noise.
